A family of four, along with their beloved black Labrador, recently relocated from the UK to Dubai and purchased a standard 2 bedroom villa in JVT with an established garden that was in need of a complete overhaul. To view the garden design see Modern Minimalistic Garden in landscape Designs.

The architectural renovation reimagined the villa with a clean, contemporary aesthetic focused on light, space, and modern family living. All flooring was replaced, and the original kitchen was transformed into a generous open-plan space centered around an oversized island that extends naturally into the dining area.

A key objective was to strengthen the connection between the interior and garden. Small sliding doors were replaced with a large picture window and an expansive sliding door positioned at the terrace edge, flooding the living spaces with natural light and creating a seamless visual flow to the outdoors.

The home's layout was comprehensively reconfigured to maximize functionality and accommodate the family's evolving needs. All bathrooms were fully renovated, the laundry was relocated beneath the staircase, and the former maid's room and laundry were combined to create a guest bedroom with an ensuite. Upstairs, the landing was converted into a third bedroom, while the principal suite was thoughtfully reconfigured to provide the new bedroom with its own private bathroom.

The result is a bright, contemporary home that feels significantly larger than its original footprint, offering flexible, family-focused living while maintaining a calm and minimalist architectural language.
