Middle East Zen Retreat

This large, established garden offered generous green space but lacked focal points and a sense of destination. Following the installation of a new gazebo and swimming pool, the clients were left with an underutilized area and an unbalanced view from the villa.

Drawing inspiration from the simplicity of Japanese Zen gardens and the landscapes of the clients' Middle Eastern homeland, the design introduced a series of carefully composed features that create visual interest and guide movement through the garden. A meandering pathway leads visitors towards newly created destinations, framed by soft grey natural stone, sculptural rocks, and elegant olive trees.

The palette of cool stone, turquoise water, and layered planting creates a calm and harmonious atmosphere. Lush tropical planting provides depth and texture, while the garden opens towards expansive golf course views, creating a seamless connection between the designed landscape and its wider setting.
